Mehran RohaniMehran Rohani (1957- ), was born and grew up in Iran, studied and practiced medicine. During high school he attended calligraphy classes at the Iranian Association of Calligraphers and received the Certificate of Excellence( 1977). He followed calligraphy as a personal passion for more than 40 years and most of his works are personal or made for friends.

Focusing on Shekasteh script he is seeking different ways to combine the strictures of traditional arts with the freedom of modern artistic expression.

He moved to USA since 2008.

  1. you are very modest, you forgot to add, a very dedicated scientific minded physician, fine writer and poet, active in your society and by all means a humanitarian with a soft heart and elegant style in every aspects you touch, if persians were more like you, world would benefit more of our existance and heritage. all I said is absolutely my independant opinion, irreleavant to all the years I have known and admired you silently.

    May the occasion of living in a free society, flourish all the talents you have had. Those talents all your friends have witnessed and admired for many years and also those, bias and prejudice of others did not allow flourishing in the past 30 years, in the society you loved and always admired despite it all.
